Revell Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-2/4

Revell Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-2/4 1:48

This series of posts covers the project for documenting and building a Revell Messerschmitt Bf109 F-2/4 1:48 scale model.

The Messerschmitt Bf109 can be considered as one of the most (if not the most) important fighters in the WW2, forming together with the Focke-Wulf Fw-190 the backbone of the Luftwaffe's Jagdwaffe (Fighter Force).
Specifically, the variant F "Friedrich" is considered the best in terms of power vs performance, being the F-2 and F-4 the two sub-variants of which more airplanes were built.

The Revell kit allows the building of these two sub-variants: the 1941's war ace Hans "Assi" Hahn F-2 operating in France, and the 1942's war ace Hans-Joachim Marseille F-4/Trop operating in the african front.
In the posts of the series, the different aspects and parts of the aircraft will be reviewed and documented during the building of the F-4/Trop version model.
